Kelly Gordon - Defunked 1969

Hey folks. Only me Chuntao. I'm back after a few days hanging out with Andy, learning to DJ and watching some tennis. What I have on offer for y'all is a very rare album by "Kelly Gordon" from 1969 on Capitol Records. He is best known for producing records and I am reliably told by EW, who was very kind enough to donate this enigmatic man and I have never heard of either, that he has a Joe South/Bobbie Gentry connection. Thanks again my friend EW. We are not worthy. Hey, of course we are. This sole album is excellent, with some great covers and has a soul rock feel to it. Very enjoyable folks. And I hope y'all, well some of you agree. It is also album wrapped and I kept it that way, coz why would you want to listen to a specific track when they are all very enjoyable. That is my excuse and I am sticking to it. It is the summer folks and there is just not enough time eh. Enjoy.

"Just Us" were an American pop/folk group with "Chip Taylor" and "Al Gorgoni". This very rare album was released on Kapp Records in 1966 and has a lovely feel to it. When doing my research I found another band with the same name hailing from Canada and had to change their names under Canadian law. This rarity is on request from one of my subscribers Tom Pickles. Thanks Tom for your request and for chosing a rather sweet album. Enjoy y'all.

A Roddus Music Sampler Volume 25 - Mind Blowers

After the mighty Uncut sampler, this latest affair is pretty miniscule by comparison, but contains a group of songs that have really grabbed my attention over the last couple of months. I was recently reading the latest Led Zep bio "When Giants Walked The Earth" by Mick Wall and as I read through, I listened to each of their albums untill I got to "In Through The Out Door", which I have had for years but never really listened to it, as it was considered to be their weakest album. During this listen, I got to rediscover the total brilliance of "All My Love", a song I know well from plenty of radio plays over the years, but with wich I had never really connected with intimately untill now. Another highlight among this diverse and very cool group of songs is the truely great "Bulgaria" by the excellent "It's A Beautiful Day". Not to be missed. Along with a bit of blues, a touch of Jazz, a smidgeon of Prog and plenty of 60s pop, there is plenty here to massage the ears pleasantly. Enjoy Roddus.

Jerry Riopelle - The Second Album 1972

Hey y'all. Lovely weather here at the moment. So I offer up another lovely and very rare album by US singer/songwriter "Jerry Riopelle". This, "The Second Album" was on my request list recently and a kind person called "ew" donated it recently as an album wrap. I had all of the songs except the "Jambalaya" one and when i listened to this and the single tracks it was slightly diferent folks. Perhaps my tracks are new edits for his compilation disc. I then tried to use Jetaudio to manually split the album but gave up after track 4 as it was cutting some of the tracks short on the fade outs. So i started to record them using my soundcard and I again gave up. Sorry. The album is so good that it doesn't need split, but if someone has the time to do it correctly, please send me the split album. My trial album splitter software is expired and it wasn't very good at doing it automatically. That is my excuse folks, but I would like to thank "ew" for this excellent 320 bitrate vinyl rip. This album has a more bluesy laidback feel to it and I am sure tanktop, Twil & Kilgore Trout (will send both your requests over the weekend - sorry about the delay), will truly appreciate this charming man.
