Something a little bit different folks, in the guise of pop with former bad boy turned good "Leif Garrett". This is his self-titled album from 1977, that charted to position 37 in the US, and surprisingly his albums are very rare. There are a few catchy covers and may interest other rock chicks who had his posters plastered over their bedroom walls, beside "The Bay City Rollers". Not my era, but I had 'Limahl' from "Kajagoogoo". Keep that to yourself. Coz I'm Too Shy Shy. Too Shy... Enjoy y'all.

Hee hee! Silly, silly stuff here! I met Leif (pronounced "LAFE" by the way) when he was promotig that "1976" movie he did with DEVO, and he told me a number of stories about what a surreal joke his life was at that point, doing goofy stuff at the behest of label execs and such.
I can't remember much detail -- Olivia D'Abo was also in the hotel room, and neither of us could really concentrate with her glow filling the room.
I do remember that her attempt to join in our discussion about music went something like, "I think rap is a really good idea because black people have never had a way to express themselves before!" (YEE-OWWW!!!)
That reminds me, however: Leif told me he was still making music, though his newer recordings weren't necessarily intended for commercial release. What did that stuff sound like, you ask?
According to Leif himself, it was "sort of like Roxy Music".

(PS: Start casing his home, maybe you'll get a chance to slip in and forage for the tapes!)
