I posted this lovely sounding folk singers' solo debut album recently and was rather surprised that many of you liked it. This is his second and final album "Royal Flush". So without further ado, get this super mega rarity here folks, from the late son of 'Doris Day'. It is on request from ge for a few weeks now. Here you go ge and thanks for the challenge and apologize for not getting in touch as yet. I will get round to that this week. My in-tray is pretty full lately. Enjoy all you romantics out there.

there's no water where I live tonight, so I just reluctantly bought a big jug---but those woes and other concerns can be blasted away by such a great surprise!! a million graciases!! you are a miracle-deliverer
Have a jug of water on me ge. I found two tracks on a compilation album and then I garnered this full copy by good luck. A bit like track 10 "Card Game" :))) But who would fold a Royal Flush?
Glad to be of service my friend and hope all your Dreams came true ...
And he lived happily ever after ...

Oh My God! I'm getting old. I HAD this one (as well as the first) and I probably was the only one in town who bothered. Just a crazy completist, I guess. thanks again for posting this. That should be Pamela Polland's Tulsa County Blue (as also done by the Byrds on Ballad of Easy Rider and Pamela Polland's sole solo LP, which would also be a great po9st if you can find it). It's like you bought all my records after I unloaded them in 1993 and have parceled them out one by one for me to rediscover. I can;t thank you enough. I'll get back to you on this one after I give it a listen after all these years.
Thanks a zillion for the Terry Melcher, this is awesome!
PS: This didn't have to be so good! but it is. Some of TM's no-doubt-rich old pals like McGuinn, Hillman, Paul Revere, M. Lindsay etc :) --should kick in some bucks to get this album reissued worldwide.
It is some fine production, [dare I say world-wise?] writing, playing [all that steel guitar!]....and the singing is super also I'd argue: his hitting that hi note at the end of "Royal Flush" [the word 'royal'] brings mist to my eyes. There's such a MexiCali or Calexico theme going on also here like no other record I can name---wow!
Mieke,
Thanks a gazillion for your comments and your asppreciation of Terry. Enjoy :)))

I am very pleased that it met up to your expectations. You know your stuff and I welcome your comments, your challenge and overall sense of being ge. It is a shame he only did two solo albums cozz I feel there is much more that wasn't said. Pity but a very charming man and a charming album also.
Good luck
And drop by soon eh ge.
Good on ya :)

I never comment on music blogs, but this simply demanded a response. This album is truly stunning. What a find! Thanks to everyone that contributed to getting it up here.
Hey Anon,
You should make more comments, because what you is very true. It is very lovely and a rare find. Thank you for taking you time out to stop by and make some rare comments also.

knew the name from dd and manson but never really thought about the musician behind it - reading the other comments has piqued my interest so thanks for the heads up
Hi,
Having a problem with the easy-share link, it never gets past the captcha image, even though i'm typing it in correctly. odd. Really want to get hold of this as Terry's s/t album is stunning and i've never heard this one yet.
Can anyone help?
Regards.
Bud.
Truly a gorgeous record, just like his debut, and glad to see it getting attention. I really hope it's reissued.
Great blog you run here! Question, I'm a huge Melcher fan (the production, his voice), any tips on other artists to investigate along this vein?
Thanks!!!
Nice Album, can't stop singing 'Take it to Mexio' even my wife is singing it?, Great ending with 'These Days' was it Steve Noonon or Jackson wrote that that song?...
Wow - Melcher's voice is right out of the Neil Young school of vocal interpretation....but the passion in his unique style is irresistable. Very cool.
