Next up is an excellent album from German rock band "Bastard". Hey, I never said that bad word and I don't have Tourettes either. Sorry. But the album is far better than the implications of the band title. Honest. "Tearing Nights" is their second album from 1978 and I have their first album which is ok, but not as cool as this one. Enjoy.

To me they are a rather average band who made a rather average album.
But according some reviews there first album should be better???

Sorry C but I agree with Anon. I was hoping for somthing as good as Gravestone. The Spinal tap comparison is definatly valid I feel.

I noticed that sometimes 'mediocricy' is the quality of an ear rather than music
however, even more often "the truth lies somewhere in the middle"..

You are right. What the ear hears and what it wants to hear can be confusing. So reaching that happy medium is sometimes a painful task.
Glad you managed to get back some of those rocking good old days my mandustrian and I think I is gonna dedicate a post to you and you will hear something miraculous in the first track...
