I know many of the Canuck music buffs among you out there, who have been following my recent "Crowbar" posts, will have probably heard of the next band. They changed their name a few times from "McKenna-Mendelson Mainline" to "Mainline" then to "Mainline Bump 'N' Grind Revue". But it doesn't matter how y'all might know them, they are a very influential Blues band in Canadian music history. And none more so than this album - their rarest. I don't know if it is their best, well coz I have only heard three albums so far, but it is very, very fine indeed. This sweet rarity is on request from Kilgore Trout folks. Enjoy.

Kilgore Trout...your site just keeps gettin' better n better, a very well deserved round of applause & once again many thanks
Kilgore Trout...although very tasty and well worthy of a spin or three, Stink will always be my fav...thank you again
I saw Mainline the 1st time at a dance @ my highschool in Pickering, Ontario circa 1971.
They were incredible!!!
Too bad they got busted for smokin' the demon weed by the local cops @ the end of the night!!!
I used to own this album as well as my favouright called "Stink."
In fact I own and have "McKenna, Mendelson, Mainline----Stink" on CD!!!
"My life is like a toilet bowl"
from T.B. Blues.
"You better watch out woman, cause your man is about to come"
from Better Watch Out.
I also saw King Biscuit Boy when I was young.
How about Mainline's best LP called Stink???
Here's the 'first' album released by McKenna Mendelson Mainline called McKenna Mendelson Mainline Blues. Released on a small label here in Canada, these are very rough demos, some of which showed up in a more refined (although arguably not better) version on their first big label LP 'Stink'. I don't have the cover art but I know it is out there somewhere.

Chuntao
Kilgore Trout,
You only get 3 wishes my friend ;] Only pulling your leg. You are welcome and thank you for introducing me a very slick band. And of course pretty rare also.
Drop by soon for more Canuck Corkers
Chuntao
Anon,
Only a few songs are good you say. I think you need to get your ears checked my friend. You may have a bad case of TINNITUS.
Chuntao
Chuntao,
Tinnitus is real, protect yourself!
I have a constant buzz in my ears which occasionally grows to a sharp pain. Thankfully it goes away after some rest. I'd hate to have to abstain from something I love.
So please don't make light of a serious problem. Earwax, now that's jokable.
Kolka, Leo.
Yes Leo,
You are correct, I apologize to Tinnitus sufferers. My boyfriend has mild Tinnitus with all that dance music that he is constantly pumping. I was mere pointing out that Anon must have a hearing problem, in saying that 'shame some of the songs are good'.
Yes well earwax could be his trouble Leo, or he is in the right place where only goood music prevail.
Hope you get plenty of rest between sessions Leo and again apologize to you and others for their discomfort.

I was given this on vinyl by my sister back in the 1970's and loved it. Extremely rare here in Australia. Lost it awhile ago during one of many house moves. Lo and behold I bought it on CD last month on Amazon. It was great to catch up with it again.
a brilliant band- i feel lucky to have heard them so many times when i was young, including a dance at my high school!
thanks for the memories,
d
