yes indeed, the funny thing is: I owned a radio DJ [VERY GOOD cond.] copy of the lp---and SOLD it, to a pal when hard-up for $. He surely still has it in NYC, and if there's sufficient need or interest it might be transferred someday for a cleaner listen.
[or we can dream of a CD release from master tapes, hoho]

ge,

That would be a real boon if that were to happen and could twist your friend's arm somehow to rip it again from vinyl. It's such a beautiful album that I'm sure more of my readers would care for a cleaner copy. I'll leave that in your capable hands ge and many thanks for the challenge. It was quite a tricky one to get right. The tracks were in WAV format and the last track was unable to play on any media player for codec reasons. So I did more work on it in order to get it to play.

Drop by soon ge and again if u have any more ultra rare requests feel free to name drop ;]

you are certainly a sweetheart to help out your fellow-music-obsessed friends as you do! [i neglected to add re my pal how untechy he is, so he is very far from ripping albums to computer...but he may make more capable friends at some time who could help....]
meanwhile
Oh Zoot my Zoot wherefore art thou? in the year of our lord 09, may W.T.M.H. emerge somehow! :)

Thanks for sharing this rarity. I didn't let a few scratches bother me and enjoyed it. Cheers,

I can't thank you enough for sharing this album. I had looked in vain for a copy. Such sweet childhood memories. There was always music in the house, if we weren't listening to music we were making it, however amateur. Nothing made me happier than to stand at my mothers side singing along as she played songs from the "Mitch Miller Song Book".
I will share your site with my dad, I think he would enjoy browsing and might have some things to share. I know that he has spent a lot of time ripping music to his 'puter off of everything from 78's to eight tracks to CD's.
Aloha and mahalo,
Libby

I would love to hear from your Dad Libby and find out what xtra rarities that he might have up his sleeve. especially those 8 tyracks and those that have never been released on vinyl or Cd.

You've done a great deed for the music community with this very rare and superb LP. It has four of the greatest musicians ever playing in a variety of musical styles:

Richard Greene (fiddle/violin - the greatest), Jim Rooney (guitar), Eric Weissberg (banjo, guitar), and Bill Keith (pedal steel).

Everyone should have this LP, and now they can!

Richard

P.S.: The DePopper program (shareware) does a great job removing the sound of scratches. I highly recommend it.
