Widowmaker - Widowmaker 1976

Hey folks, I got a recommendation in from LazerBil for me to check out this next band. "Widowmaker" were a band that started out with the great "Steve Ellis" (ex-Love Affair), Ariel Bender (ex- Mott The Hoople), Bob Daisley (ex-Chicken Shack), Paul Nicolls (ex-Lindisfarne) and Huw Lloyd-Langton (ex-Hawkwind). Some line-up eh. They recorded this rollicking amazing self-titled album in 1976. Steve left the band after two years, but was unfortunately not credited with having written half the songs on their second album "Too Late Too Cry". Tragic. Anyway I strongly urge y'all to grab this tidy example of classic rock from one of the most talented artists in history folks. You won't regret it.

Hi Chuntao
Great to see this on your blog. I haven't heard it in years and look forward to hearing it again.
By the way your site is refreshingly "off the wall", and not at all predictable.
Thanks again

Firstly, Steve Ellis didn't 'leave' Widowmaker, he was fired, and second, he didn't have anything to do with writing ANY of the songs on the second album.
