The Open Mind - The Open Mind 1969

"The Open Mind" were a UK psychedelic rock band that only released this self-titled album. It is very rare and very collectible. They were thrown in to the limelight with their songs "Cast A Spell" and "Magic Potion", which tipped the scales for them from being a middle-of-the-road band to international acclaim. Both of these tracks are included in this album as bonus tracks. I'm sure y'all will enjoy this rarity folks.

"Magic Potion" its an excellent tune! ! one of my favourites!
great lp Chuntao, really good, love this british psych style, really into it.

MORE INFO ABOUT EM:

"This band produced one of the finest UK psychedelic albums, which is excellent throughout and hardly contains a bad track. The music is characterised by some particularly strong psychedelic guitar work and good vocals. It's impossible really to pull-out particular tracks as highlights - they're almost all equally good. The Antar reissue, which came in a redesigned sleeve, includes their second rare 45 release, which unlike the first wasn't taken from the album and is superb. A blistering 45 with tasty psychedelic fuzz guitar work.

The Antar/Second Battle reissue is strongly recommended. "

I have been meaning to leave a comment here for ages, but keep getting sidetracked by all the other great posts, but i'm here now so i will thank you C for posting this request. I wasn't sure what this would be like when I requested it as it was just something that i came across and it looked interesting. Now that i have listened to most of it I can say that it is very good and i was already aquainted with some of the songs. Magic Potion of course , my mind cries, and cast a spell, i have heard on various comps.

Ireally dig the drum beat intro on Horses & chariots

Glad u found this

Np Roddus,

You are welcome to put these tunes on your ipod. You and many others have introduced me to new music and taking requests is far better than following the herd. Coz normally it is these obscurities that haven't been posted yet or have dead links and people can't be bothered finding them. Therefore I am glad you enjoyed your own request and I am happy to have found it for you, someone who appreciates their music.

PS I am listening "How You Doing" while I cut my "Lawn" at the moment - not the back own ... . Well it is Sunday and St. David's Day. It is a very funny track. I love the patter ;]
