David Clayton-Thomas - David Clayton-Thomas 1972

Hey again folks, I'm back again with a self-titled album by multi-talented "David Clayton-Thomas" of "Blood, Sweat & Tears". We get to hear his richly charged voice again with many great songs delivered with passion and gusto. I should also give credit to the backing singers on this album. They are lovely. Enjoy folks.

C dear,
absolutely agree with you on the back-up vocals. They so lift the songs...

In my part of the woods, BS&T, Chicago and CCS came to fame at roughly the same time. I really loved the latter, who sometimes featured Alexis Korner vocals, and didn't he have some connection with Zoot Sims..?

This was, probably, the first album I ever owned--a cassette given to me by a tourist friend over 30 years ago (when I lived in the Caribbean). At first I honestly didn't care much for it, but it was the only music I had back then.

So, I played it over and over and over until I learned all the songs and it became a favorite!

It's good to hear these songs again! Brings me back--way back!

"Thanks for the memories."
