Canadian Blues Rock band "Crowbar" are just too cool by far. They recorded their first album with "King Biscuit Boy" in 1970 and followed up with this their own debut soon after."Bad Manors" is a fine album indeed; there are great songs with a sense of fun; fantastic harmonies and overall a cool ad-lib type upbeat tempo. The band really congeal and certainly know their place and the banter is a joy to listen to. I hadn't heard of this mega-cool Canuck band until I got a request in again from Da Fingermeister, who also requested the cool "Whisky Hollow", whom I got special permission to post recently and not "Whiskey Howl" another cool Canadian band. So well I posted both. Grab this here folks. They seem to be able to play every instrument going, including spoons. Did she say spoons? I ain't listening to people playing spoons man. You will not be disappointed folks. And thanks for the tip Da Fingermeister. You have a wicked sense of fun.

sluggo
this is another interesting find, lots of diffrent stuff happening here
blues/boogie woogie/country/rock, and pretty good too, really dig this combination of styles and variety across an album, makes for a cool listning experience.
Your track listing appears to in the incorrect order, check out the album review on Allmusic.com for correct track listing order.
Shame the whole album is ripped as one track, i guess it was converted from a FLAC, as one big file.
Still Most enjoyable
Aaa well, its finally stopped raining, so i'd better go and stack my firewood ready for next winter, Bugger, well at least i got my Ipod full of really cool rare music.
Thanks C.
Roddus
Cool choice - that's a damn fine share, thank you. :-)
Richad
Thanks Richard for appreciating this post and hopefully some other also. These guys are too cool to have missed the opportunity of not sharing them. They made my week they did ;]
See ya'
Chuntao
Roddus,
You like then? Good. I love them to bits. Yes there are many styles here and the guys take to them styles like ducks to water. Did you hear them playing spoons. Fantasic. The improv is highly charged and overall the whole fusion of styles works a treat.
Thanks for pointing out about the track listing Roddus, I will make a point of checking that out and amending it as necessary. You would also be correct that it was converted but I was too impatient to use an 'album splitter' to put it in2 single tracks. And why would you want to fast forward any track onn this album,. Just put the whole album on your ipod Roddus and chop wood in time to the music.
Thanks again for your comments here. I really you appreciating some of my posts.

Well, lace up your boots
And we'll book on down
To a knocked out shack
On the edge of town
There's an eight beat combo
That just won't quit
Keep walking till you see
A blue light lit
Fall in there
And you'll dig some sights
At the house
The house of blue lights
There's fryers, broilers
Detroit barbeque ribs
But the treat of the trade
Is when they serve you
All those fine eight beats
...
Responding to all the raves it was getting, probably via Rolling Stone etc, I got this in my college years when it first came out, and 'tis a pleasure to rehear now!
--My God some great lead guitar, boogie piano and harp and overall vibratory groove! Funny the way time erases others, but holds some memories like "There's fryers, broilers
Detroit barbeque ribs
But the treat of the trade..." and the 'Prince of Peace' gospel stomp chorus
Party!
Ge,
I couldn't have put it better myself. Well I didn't you did hehe. Wanna do some write ups?
Yes these guys are just the business. The energy is absorbing. I must have heard them a dozen times in the last fortnight. Well I wasn't going to post them. Only jesting ge ;)
I have one more which I shall post in the next while as I let some of my readers get their feet back on the ground.
Thanks ge for your overall appreciation.
C.
-'writeups'?
Haha, sure, especially if you locate Zoot $'s 'Welcome to my Head'! or his TRANSITION [previous lp] ...or say 'Jimmy Campbell's Album' (Philips 6308 100) 1972. [He died a couple years back, r.i.p.]
The tracks were: 'By The Light Of A Lamp'/ 'Salvation Army Citadel'/ 'Snow Covered Street'/ 'Paris, You're In Paris'/ 'Darling Sweetheart'/ 'April Morning'/ 'Something In The Wind'/ 'Maudie'/ 'Baby Walk Out With Your Darling Man'/ 'It's Just Like A Girl'/ 'It Never Rains But It Pours'/ 'When You're Coming Home.'
PS: Wil Malone's eponymous album is maybe my favest discovery since blogging, so any tidbits of his...
If there were more hours in a day or higher-speed connections where i am, I'd download & try to digest all your offerings before even asking favours...
Fun Blog here, thanks for yr work
absolutely Amazing, how you are able to find my obscure fantasies & memories!
Keep up this astounding work & service!
Got another one for ya - A Foot In Cold Water.
Thanks again.
ge,
Done your rare Transition album. And it was fun posting it. As for your other two rare requests, I will put them in my list just now as they seem to be super-mega-rare ge.
Speak soon
Chuntao
Yo' Da Fingermeister,
Wazzupp ;] A good magician never reveals their secrets...
You can find 2 albums from A Foot In Cold Water/Coldwater on robots for ronnie blog. His link is on my linklist and I have found many of hisitems on his wishlist also. ;]
Just put coldwater in search bar at top of his page. Links are still active Da Dinger..
So after you get those and whatever you might have yourself drop me a line and tell me which albums you don't have. And I will cater for your needs.
Chow for now
Chuntao
Too cool - ronnie had the foot in coldwater, just like you said!
How about Lighthouse - the original Canadian one, of course? Anything available that you can post on these blogs?
(I've even got a tune out there - "Your Smile", on the napster/i-Tunes network; search "Dave Moffatt"; think '70's Lettermen, or something.)
Tanks much!
My first REAL concert at the age of 13 with a couple buddies was CROWBAR. They even talked to us and showed us the inside of the tour bus after the concert. Gave us some photos and broken drumsticks also. Bad Manors was also my first album. Been hooked ever since.
Is there any possibility you could offer this with a better quality mp3. 128kps is rather poor and sounds awful on a decent stereo. If I may make a suggestion. Most audiophiles encode with Lame, VBR highest quality settings. You basically have a CD quality mp3. Music collectors will love ya for it. Many sites now post what the bitrate is. I hate to say it but many people will not download low quality files or will delete them once downloaded, and look for superor sources.
the party band of a lifetime, lol, Kelly Jay arockin and bangin on the piano and the rest of the boys beating eight to the bar ... one of my very first concerts, too, 14 years old.
