This cool, jazzy soundtrack "Barbarella" was on my wishlist some time ago and stuckinthe70's was good enough to upload a copy for my pleasure. It is a favorite of mine and I have since tracked down a copy with bonus tracks (30 instead of 22) and high quality covers also. Composed by Bob Crewe & Charles Fox, this apart from being very collectible, ($200 for near mint vinyl), is a perfect composition for the extremely risque film starring Jane Fonda and the science-fiction world it was set in. I have never personally seen the film and don't really have an inkling to do so - it is in essence a male oriented movie with lots of risque undertones. The film is a cult classic however, and so is the soundtrack. So I hope y'all enjoy it as much as I do.

Thanks for this! But see the movie too - it's a lot of fun, and a great sixties artifact. Very cool.
Might get round to it one day Anon.
If anyone has it in avi give me a shout so that I can see what I have missed out on. As for the soundtrack, I really love it.

Great Post! Never knew there was an OST. Many thanks (especially for the inlay-image :-) )
Thanks friend, you are also added,
congratulations for your blog,very nice.
thanks for the rip -- looking for an alternate source/mirror (easy-share doesn't want to work for me) I found some further info on the Crowe/Glitterhouse connection over at Moogy Music; I also found a rip of the original vinyl at Red Telephone
mrG,
Thankx 4 your xtra info on this album I posted. I also realise that redtelephone66, one of my link buddies posted this some time ago also. But this is the special edition that contains 30 tracks not the traditional 22 tracks. Therefore on that difference, I felt there was no conflict of interest.
Hope that answers your query mrG

PS easy-share only permits 150MB per hour. That is why u r probably getting in a loop with the alphanumeric code. Therefore thank you for your comments on this and drop by soon when easy-share is more forgiving.

I found the movie! Two copies, 7 parts each; I assembled the second set by simply adding the seven files together. Its the perfect Valentines movie ;)
as for the extra tracks, yes, I eventually did manage to get Easy-share to stay connected long enough and can compare the two editions now; thank you so much for posting these.
mrG,
Very Good of you to track down the Barbarella movie/film. I'm sure many of my readers will be made up with that. Thank you. I will get round to it when my computer is less filled with rare music.
I am also pleased that you managed to get the bonus tracks from the OST. Hope you enjoy them.
I try my best not to tread on other fellow bloggers toes when it comes to posting music FIRST. I do want not want to turn into mirors of other blogs, by just swapping albums all the time.
Hope to hear from ya soon mrG
Good luck

No reason not to see it, but watch a good copy, not a pirated one. It's extremely mild in sexual content, some limited violence. It's OK, though flawed, but another comic-inspired film from that period that I recommend far and above Barbarella is Danger:Diabolik. D:D is one of the best comic-derived films ever, if you don't have unrealistic expectations. And it has a cool Morricone soundtrack.
BIG THANX FOR THIS-MY PARENTS TOOK ME TO SEE THE FILM AT THIRTEEN!!
