Newman,

How goes it? :) Gotta love The Brinsleys eh ? I might get round to posting some of Nick's solo stuff soon, but other bloggers are keeping him alive.

How did you get on with the bonus '...Mersey' tracks Newman ? They live up to your expectation? Good.

And I don't have to say to hang out soon, coz you are very regular man. Thanks for your comments, your support & above all your enjoyment of some of my rarities :)))

The Brinsleys were one of the best live bands of the '70s. Always brilliant. Saw them several times, at the Barry Memorial Hall, Cardiff Capitol (supporting Wings) and Cardiff Students Union. They always delivered 110%. At the Barry gig I foolishly jumped onstage, and got knocked off (and out) by one of the bouncers. Those were the days! Anyway, my big question is, how do I download this stuff? I've clicked on every link in sight, and nothing happens.

Anon,

One of my new found favorite bands also. All thanks to 'The Greasy Trucker's' album I posted a while back.

I'm sorry you are having problems finding the link. They are normally highlighted in blue within the post. In this case the words 'Brinsley Schwarz' is the link & should take you to easy-share. W8 15 seconds & enter the alphanumeric code and you are off.

Good Luck

Yo' Susan,

Thanks for your visit and commenting on the talent of Brinsley Schwarz & Nick Lowe. Very cool. And enjoy Susan. I also recommend the 'Greasy Truckers' album where The Brinsleys appear also. Lap it up. Coz if it wasn't for this mega-rare album I wouldn't have knoqn of them or perhaps posted them ...

You are very welcome zappahead. At least you managed to see them. That at least is a bonus, but this is another unmissable gig. Enjoy

Never saw them, there legend did spread to a small rural town where i lived in Ireland courtesy of my cousin who played around th London Pub scene (ron kavana) and there records were played regularly/

Great to hear some live stuff from them. Where are the two bonus tracks from ??
