Joe Byrd & The Field Hippies - The American Metaphysical Circus 1969

The psychedelic album "The American Metaphysical Circus" is a trippy fusion of rock, jazz and pop. It was ahead of its time and a very controversial album in its day. Out of print and in vogue, "Joe Byrd & The Field Hippies" is a must have for the 60's collector.

I've had this on vinyl since back in the day, and have the CD that was released back in the '90s also. Just more addictive than you'd think at first, try to hang in there for the whole album. This one may be able to induce an altered state of consciousness without benefit of recreational pharmaceuticals! Glad to see there are still some people listening to this stuff -- I was beginning to think I was the only aging hippie left! Thanks for reminding me to play this one today!

Hi The Countess,

Thank you for your appreciation. Yes a very interesting album and I think there is a hippie in most of us. Thanks for stopping by and happy holidays.

A very interesting album which deserves a huge attention. Unluckily Joe etc. didn't do anymore after this. Yours has been a very good choice. Thanks
