Autumn - Oceanworld 1977 (Rare UK Prog)

These 5 tracks by obscure UK prog band "Autumn" have been locked away in the rock vaults since the seventies, until they were released in 1998 on Autumn Records. Long overdue in my book. But it did not stop some members of this band to go to on to reach great heights with the likes of "Hawkwind" and "The Enid" to name a few. Yes, they are rare and very desirable and yes, very good. "Oceanworld" is full of ostentatious and seemless instrumental tracks and is sure, however short, to stir your imagination.

01. Oceanworld (13:08)
02. Some Like It Crunchy (8:34)
03. Little Finger Exercise (8:35)
04. The Celebrated Court Jester (4:15)
05. Oceanworld (Reprise) (1:30)

thought you might appreciate that one stuckinthe70s, :]

As I say it's very rare and it has really grown on me. By the way how did you get on with the 'Greasy Trucker's Party'? And let me know 'bout this one too.

I really like this one too, growing on me each time I listen, mellow, quirky, interesting, keeps you on your toes for what will happen next. I dig these instrumental bands and this one reminds me of "Battles", who released their Debut in 07 and someone else whos name eludes me right now. Very cool cover

Thanks
Roddus

Roddus, that other band, would it be Genesis? Coz I keep hearing entry points for Gabriel vocals all over.
'77... how did they survive?

Really great! Many thanks. Sounds like a symbiosis of the mentioned Genesis, also Yes and italian PFM, not to forget Larry Fast. But, who were the members of this project? I couldn't find any information.
Greetz, 70sProgAddict
and great work you do!!
