Airlord - Clockwork Revenge 1977

"Airlord" were a progressive rock band from New Zealand from the late 70's. "Clockwork Revenge" is a deleted album and very rare and was the bands only, but epic album. It starts out with what sounds a bit of a cacophony, mutating in to a very theatrical track and finishing off with excellent prog rock. If you get through this first track, then you will then appreciate the rest of the album. It has excellent guitar solos and can be quite freaky in places, but has a uniqueness that makes it unmissable.

01. Clockwork Revenge (6:36)
02. Pictures In A Puddle (4:01)
03. Ladies Of The Night (9:40)
04. Earthborn Pilgrim (4:55)
05. Out Of The Woods (6:54)
06. Is It Such A Dream (5:08)
07. You Might Even Be (4:23)

Thanks for this - I saw these guys when they supported Queen back in the 70's and they were brilliant!

Bought both their albums on Vinyl, so great to see this one online.

Cheers

Thanx Cliff,

It was an easy one to track down. But worth it. Now you can enjoy it without wearing your vinyl out.

Tx again

The first time I downloaded this I couldn't get it to open, Winrar said it was courrupted. anyhow tried again last night and got it this time, was looking foward to ckecking out a band from home of which I had never heard of.
Unfortunatly, this album was very dissappionting for me, I can see why it didn't hang around long.

Some far superrior New Zealand rock from this period is Human Instinct, Headband, Ticket, Blerta, Space Farm and the underdogs just to name a few.

Still Good on ya for posting this as Im sure others will relate to it.

Actually I just listened to this album for the first time this week and can't stop playing it. It's too bad they disappeared. What a great Prog album and surprising that I never heard of it before.
