Correction, this album is by Australian glam rockers, Rabbit. This band featured early AC/DC vocalist, Dave Evans. This was their final album from 1976 :)
Thanx J.
Silly me for mixing them up with the band "Rabbitt" not "Rabbit". I was that busy doing so much research that I forgot to quadruple check my findings. The next album is on you my friend ;]
I think Wildfire was there big hit back in those days.
Thanks very much anyway.
You are so right Anon.
Cheers
wow, they look to stupid to be in spinal tap
lol Candle In The Dark :)
Thanx ever so lot for this one!
This record-cover was pinned for years to a damp wall in a mouldy ex-kindergarten house used for re-hearsals by several obscure garage-bands in southern Stockholm, Sweden. No one knew what it was or where it came from, or who put it there. It always had been there. No one gave it much thought, except for at times when it got ridiculed for the obviously hetero brawny and hairy guys’ feeble attempt at appearing as sissy queens in true 70’s style. Except for me. It kind of haunted me. -Where had I seen that guy in the front?
Then one day all the bands had to split from the place since the township council finally decided to tear that reeking, damp pit-hole down, replacing it with a new building. No place for noisy rockers in that one!
Anyways, that was when I decided to take a closer look at the pinned record. I removed it and read the backside of it and noticed the name of ...Dave Evans..!
As an old AC/DC fan I finally understood where I had seen that face. The next surprise was that the vinyl still was within the cover! I immediately took full possession of the artefact with my greedy hands, thus saving it from demolition and brought it home. Somewhat sceptical I gave it a spin on my record player...and got my third surprise! This was really good!! And so Dave Evans got rehabilitation and I got a real good rock record!! And now thanks to U I can enjoy it in the form of mp3!!!
Thanx!!!
Agree on the look, they sound alright though. Good fun, cranked up to a sensible eight.
They didn't really have any big hits in Australia. Wildfire and Too Much Rock n Roll were sort of regional radio hits but that's about all. Their last single (in 1977) was a cover of Paul Revere & the Raiders "Let Me", which wasn't bad, but didn't fit with the conservative style that rock took that year and with that they wound up.
