Joy Division - Warsaw (Bootleg) 1991

We all know of the Great English band "Joy Division", but what some don't know is that they originally called themselves "Warsaw", and they recorded a bunch of tracks for RCA Records, which were intended for an album, but the band didn't like the synths that the producers added to the tracks and so they quit RCA and the album was never released. These recordings eventually turned up in slightly diffrent forms on Joy Division's early realeases and eventually they appeared in their original form on a bootleg titled "Warsaw By Warsaw". Now, a friend of mine at high school was a Joy division fanatic and had several hard to get bootlegs of them and he made me a tape of this particular one. This tape lived in my car almost permanantly and I use to blast it all the time when I was on long trips around out to beautiful Island. It became one of my all time favourites and the passion and the beautiful reverbaration of the guitar sound is truly awesome. Although it is low-fi it is very clear, the lyrics are easy to understand and the guitar just is amazing, the way it ends on "Interzone", the awesome riff of "Falures" and the incredible "No Love Lost". Every song is just stunning, the rawness and passion dominate these tracks, the greatest punk album never made. Eventually the tape expired and as I had lost contact with its source, my life was destined to be "Warsaw free," untill several years ago, when I actually found it on CD, released in 1994 on Movie Play, I was over the moon, static, I thought I would never hear this stuff again. So it was with great excitment that I gently placed the shiny new disc into my stereo and prepared to be transported into bliss. But AAARGH, what the hell is this, the fools had ruined it, the complete d**k who remastered it had almost completly rendered it unlistenable, the base and drums had been turned up and distorted and almost drowned out the most incendary guitaring ever. I was devastated, the CD got put in its rightful place on my shelf and was destined to be played only very occasionally. I did have many of the tracks on other Joy Division albums and Compilations, but these versions, although very good, left me somewhat disappointed, empty. Recently, something made me drag out the CD for another listen and I then decided to see if I could again track down the original unmolested recordings. As far as My ears remember, I seem to have been sucessful, I did find the 1994 Movie play version on a couple of Blogs, but after digging deeper into other sources I am delighted to say that the state of bliss has been returned to my ears and now I wish to share it with you descerning people. So get this totally fantastic music here folks and remember my motto, Play Loud and enjoy. Roddus.

VA - Burning Ambitions: A History Of Punk 1984

As I have mentioned in the past, my formative music years were during the second wave of punk and most of what I listened to back then was punk or new wave. When I first saw a copy of "Burning Ambitions: A History of Punk" I absolutely knew I had to have a copy, and I was soon able to purchase a copy for my listning pleasure. And what pleasure it was, this double album become an almost permanent fixture on my turntable. The hardcore stuff on the second platter, I was already familiar with, but the earlier stuff from the late 70s was a revelation. This Comp was reissued later on CD as a 3 disc set, with most of the original on the first disc, but with some tracks missing and not on the other CD's it wasn't the same. Between Chuntao and I, we have managed to cobble together the original 2 record track listing and here it is for your listening pleasure. The Adam and the Ants track "Lady", is only the Demo version as I cannot find the actual version, it is very rare. If anyone has it I would love to get my hands on it. Roddus.

VA - The British Invasion: A History Of Britsh Rock Volume 08

And here is Volume 08 in "The British Invasion: A History Of Britsh Rock" collection folks. This is the penultimate one and should do the final one in the next couple of days folks. Thanks for all your patience and please enjoy. Well, I know many of you will - especially joe from the guid ole usa, Newman, Tommy C and a few others.

Part 1 Part 2

I would like to advise people to please avoid adeodato.blogspot.com. They call themselves Masterpiece, but I have noticed that they have leeched about 10 FIRST VERY RARE POSTS in as many days from me and not kept the links. Some such as Cat Mother are MASTERPIECES that I tracked down for Carlos over at Musicology and Bloontz & Strongbow from Robotsforronnies wishlist. I strongly urge other bloggers to drop ties with them. This is most unacceptable folks. It is blatent. I don't mind the odd post of mine if it is a FIRST post to be snugly fitted into anyone's blog on a vey rare occassion, but 10 in a row is beyond a joke. They have also used easy-share links (not mine) for my posts to try and rub my face in it as well as every other hoster for all their other leeched music. I am also not really bothered if i have to drop every link partner to achieve this, since I have had over a million pageviews and from my Neocounter over 250,000 visitors. And I come top on virtually every search engine phrase. So I know I will always be found folks. From forums, twitter ie word of mouth and the fact that I go the exta mile to find rare requests for people. That to me goes farther than Pagerank, Alexa Ranking and who links to me. So if y'all feel me, not just the work to find albums that have never been posted, but the best of rare music and 95% of links that will never be deleted, then please be vigilant and stay clear of blogs that are 95% leeches. They don't know music like you, coz that is why I post the best of the rarest music ever and that is why i get the best requests. Thanks again for your time and enjoy what we share for y'all.

VA - The British Invasion: A History Of Britsh Rock Volume 07

Hey patient music fans. Thanks for stopping by again and checking us out. This next couple of posts in the "The British Invasion: A History Of Britsh Rock" are somewhat overdue and I apologize for that. But I never fail to disappoint folks. Even when I am not posting I am usually tracking down other music for some of my dedicated readers (that I either don't post for various reasons) or donating music to other blogs or give to certain readers and listeners for them to upload and get the credit, so that I can then post it for them. So don't worry about a few days gap sometimes, I will make up for it in many other ways and I am also trying to build an extensive in-tray, so that maybe I can make a mega-post soon. That crazy idea is harder than I think, but I am still up for it. It is all a question of uploading more than I post. Well enough of me and hope y'all are well and without further ado here is Volume 07 in The British Invasion series. Again thanks for your patience here folks and if you haven't got this set from a torrent yet, grab it here.

Rabbitt - Boys Will Be Boys! 1976

Hey folks, how's it going? I have taken a few days off and been enjoying the rare weather here and hope you have been enjoying the rare music. Andy has also been showing me how to use DJ mixing software in the last few months and have been spinning a few dance tunes in my futile attempt to get better. He likes banging trance tunes, while I like a more cheesier tempo. So who knows, if I get any better in the next year, I may post one of my mixes (doubt it) at the present anyway.

So here is the another FIRST post folks, one from the fantastic South African rockers "Rabbitt". Dunacan Faure went on to join "Bay City Rollers" and "Trevor Rabin" later joined "Yes". So please enjoy this one. "Boys Will Be Boys!" and well Girls Will Be Girls. And if any of you have their super-mega rare "Rock Rabbitt" drop J. a line over at robotsforronnie. He would love to hear from y'all. I will also get round to answering all relevant comments and requests as soon as is humanly possible folks.
